Last year we witnessed the X-Star carry riders across the Mastercraft pro tour with some of the biggest wakes in the industry. And still, this wakeboarding behemoth continues to impress year after year. For 2014, Mastercraft has introduced some amazing things and now they aim to dominate the entire boating spectrum with their affordable NXT series right up to this years flagship X-Star. Add to that the new Mastercraft Gen 2 surf system and it's hard to resist the lure of a Mastercraft. This year's X-Star is still a head turner and will no doubt pave the way for bigger and better tricks in 2014.

Is it the Right Boat for You?
Last year we gushed all over the 2013 X-Star, as it marked one of the greatest advancements in Wakeboarding's most beloved boat. This year, Mastercraft kept the refinements to a minimum, but it is still very much the most coveted boat in the entire sport. I can't help but wonder though, why is this boat considered the pinnacle of all wake crafts?
The answer lies in its design. Mastercraft has spent years upon years honing their boats into the perfect machines designed to match any wants needs or desires on the water. And as a byproduct of all of this design and engineering, they have created a culture of diehard fans that will accept nothing less than the best, and therefore Mastercraft refuses to produce anything but the best -- year after year. 2014 is no exception. So to address the question at hand -- few Mastercraft buyers ever wonder if they are buying the right boat, they just simply know that they are.
Don't get me wrong there are plenty of amazing wakeboard boats on the market, and I for one am a fan of all of them. But there is no denying the need to be a part of the undeniable X-Star culture that Mastercraft has created. Ultimately, you will not find a boat with more options, flexibility, customization, or advancements than the X-Star. I could sit here and keep spewing words about how great the 2014 X-Star is, but really, it's completely unnecessary -- one look, and it sells itself.
