GAME MANIA

Hi everyone, It's been over a year since my last blog post and I have to admit it feels a little weird, and nerve wracking, but at the same time exciting. So much has happened between then and now that changed and in some way liberated me. So I wanted to share some of that with all of you as well as talk about this new journey that I want to take. So let's get started! I'm not one to tell a long story so I will cut this pretty short. In the middle of last year I had some medical complications that restricted me from sitting down for long periods of time, and that really impacted the amount of time I could work on games. It was a frustrating period as my full time job is also programming and so that required a lot of sitting. (A standing desk was not an option at the time for my office but has since become an option.) After trying many solutions that didn't end up working, I ended up getting an out patient surgery that solved my problem. I was relieved and was ready to k...

There's a close up for you..I love to scour flea markets, I'm afraid my children will too, because I drag them along {neither seems to mind}! This weekend I purchased this green/blue glass "carboy" as I was told it's called. They are used for making beer and wine, which is fitting as I love both..I'm going to fill it with water and long grasses from my yard. My dream is to someday have a {very small} store that would house my design office and revamped flea-market finds. I really have a love of lamps and chairs, but I've run out of room..{would also love a small barn or garage someday - a makeshift workshop} Also, an update on Emerson's room. The "I just had a new baby" fog is finally starting to lift + just in time for the warm weather! Don't get me wrong things are still crazy,{yoga pants and multiple sweatshirt + long sleeve tee changes are still my daily routine} but I've actually starting working here and there. It's so nice to feel a part of society again! {new Mom's will know exactly what I am talking about} I've also started to think about my daughter's room. {my frequent readers already know I haven't had a chance work on Emerson's nursery, but have so many ideas}, stay tuned for updates..I'll leave you with a few sweet, girly moments to start your day! Hello, Hello, sorry about the lack of posts, I'm doing everything I can do stay sane on about three hours of sleep a night..My poor new baby has really bad acid reflux, so she never sleeps much!! I am going to start on her nursery at some point this month! Remember I was going to hang a collage of quirky boat artwork on the wall if I had a baby boy ? Well I've decided to do the same with my "enchanted forest theme" {bunnies and deer} for Emerson's room . Here's a few of the pieces that could work..As I said I want the room and the art to feel as if it's evolved! I don't think any room should be "too perfect" because then it feels over designed to me! We are overjoyed and of course over-tired...Her name is Emerson Elizabeth and she's just perfect. Thank you for all your sweet and caring comments; they were quite nice to read from my hospital bed!
