VLC Media Player es un reproductor libre y de código abierto y multiplataforma, que reproduce archivos multimedia , más así como discos, dispositivos y protocolos de red de transmisión.

Esta es una versión BETA del puerto de VLC Media Player a la plataforma Android ™. Está dirigido a usuarios avanzados y los hackers. Esta versión no es perfectamente estable y  es mas lenta que la versión final.
  
Esta versión es para dispositivos con una CPU ARMv7 o una CPU x86. ARMv6 dispositivos se admita en una versión posterior.

Características

VLC para Android ™ reproduce vídeo más local y archivos de audio, así como secuencias de red (incluyendo streaming adaptativo), al igual que la versión de escritorio de VLC.

VLC para Android cuenta con una biblioteca multimedia para archivos de audio y vídeo, y permite navegar por las carpetas directamente.

VLC tiene soporte para múltiples pistas de audio y subtítulos. Soporta auto-rotación, relación de aspecto ajustes y gestos para controlar el volumen y el brillo.
 
También incluye un widget para el control de audio, soporta control de auriculares de audio, diseño de portada y una completa biblioteca de medios de audio.
