Shimano Tiagra 20, 30 and 30W Game Reels

Finally, the long-awaited smaller models of Shimano Tiagras are available, coming in sizes 20 (630 metres of 10kg), 30 (630 metre of 15kg) and 30W (850 metres of 15kg - or 520 metres of 24kg).

All three reels are based on their larger brothers' tried and true design, so reliable and long-lasting performances are expected. (The only real difference is that the smaller models are not fitted with a hydrothermal drag system.) Although these Shimanos have a host of features, it's the fast and simple two-speed gear change that attracts many anglers, offering the option of either 3.9:1 while in normal operation or a guntier 1.7:1 for those times when a lot of pressure is being applied - at both ends!

Other features include: super-loud ratchet alarms; oversized handle knobs for increased comfort; a pre-set drag that sets drag pressure in regular increments; and large arbours for good line retrieval rates, even when a lot of line has left the spool. The reels are ideal for Kingie and yellowfin fishing, and for those anglers seeking sharks and marlin on light tackle.
