Here is this week's round up. We are in need of some serious pretty and color up in here!! The snow, don't get me started on the snow!! The 100+" (no joke) of white stuff we have around here is starting to get to everyone. I've been trying to keep a very positive attitude this winter. In fact, I've been beginning my day with a few daily affirmations. They actually seem to be helping. With that said, I could STILL use a little color and warmth in my life right about now! How about you?? 1. Loving Tory's latest spring bag collection . Look at all that color!! These would pair well add the perfect pop of color with a neutral outfit.. 2. This yellow trench from J. Crew is adorable! Yellow is a hot color this Spring. You'll be seeing lots of it. 3. PEACE - we all need a bit more of it... 4. Good Morning. I'll admit, I'm fried. I've been packing for my move all weekend and don't have much time or brain power for a post today. I've definitely decided after tossing and donating a boat load of stuff that living simply is the way to go from now on. Don't get me wrong, I'm in the business of making things look beautiful and I love living in and love helping others live in gorgeously furnished and designed homes but be sure to just make smart, long term purchases that are both gorgeous and functional. It all goes back to the William Morris quote for me:  "Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." and that goes for your wardrobe choices too loves.  I'm loving all the colors of Fall right now as pictured below.  These shoes ( on Bee's feet above ) are popping up everywhere. It's funny how quickly purple comes and goes, but I'm loving this color moment for Fall and Winter of 2012-2013! Buying a small item like a scarf or a throw is a great way to mix this hot shade into your home/closet!

It's not quite aqua not quite green but lies somewhere beautifully in-between. I'm loving this greenish-aqua hue lately.(it's almost teal but not quite) It's Springy and uplifting and looks amazing paired with navy, pink, blue and grey. Benjamin Moore's shade Island Paradise - 606 is a pretty close match. You could ask the paint store to mix it at 125%, if you'd like it to look a little deeper. It is painting season!! this classic duplex designed by Christina Murphy interiors! Oh and thank you so much for all the well wishes for my Nantucket get away. It was a blast!! I can't wait to return this summer. I was then off to Chicago for a crazy, busy day yesterday. Glad to be home, and now I'm dealing with a leak in my office. ;)  ahh the craziness of life continues.... I love this color combo. Bright moss green is so fabulous. I'm currently using it in a project myself!   Adorable!

I'm on a mission to find artwork for not one but two clients right now. I've always wanted to use either one oversized or a series of horse photographs in a design. They're such beautiful animals. The above images are by Patrick Cline and are available through Lonny's Etsy site. These two images are by photographer Jennifer MaHarry . The beautiful quality of light creates a dream like feeling in these photographs. I obviously can't discuss photographs of horses without mentioning the amazing "larger then life" work by Robert Dutesco . His horse series is amazing.  I'm sure you'll recognize Michelle Adam's apartment and the two Patrick Cline images.

a home with a little bit of the unexpected, a hint of glamour and "je ne sais quoi"? Maybe some sex appeal.  People are often scared to take risks with their wardrobes and homes! I say, what do you have to lose? Especially with paint, it's a small investment, with large rewards! (my next home? will have charcoal dining walls - I'm thinking of mixing deep grey with lavender, medium navy and parrot green accents)  Fashion stylist  Jackie Astier  's home is loaded with sex appeal and a mix of amazing vintage furniture and found objects. (note: I want her entire outfit pictured above, that skirt? those shoes? killer) Okay so my dream sofa?? That's it.  A modernized, velvet covered, tufted chesterfield. If I ever have the space or the budget that sofa will be mine! I'm also still coveting a vintage Moroccan rug.  Don't be afraid to fill a wall with a grid of art!
