Winging it!

Sort of sums up my life over the past three months . Having a newborn and two year old has been insane, most of my posts have been done with one hand while rocking my baby in the other! The great thing about blogging is that it keeps you connected to the outside world, but no-one knows that you haven't had a second to grab a hot shower in two days! I'm easing back into work; which has been great! I was looking for a vintage wing chair for a client and came across this image. We're going to modernize an old chair with a new fabric..I often bridge old and new in my work! Here's a great example of that very concept - the new chair is pictured above, the old below! I'll take that little stool and lamp too! They're both fabulous! I 'm also winging this post, as I'm not using my computer - I'm on a mac and can't seem to enlarge the images) so I'm signing off for the week! Have a great weekend! Image: Southern Living

Picture Perfect - Room {corner} of the Week

So I'm still not getting much sleep nor down time lately, but I'm not one to complain {right}. No really, I'm a lucky girl... but I think everyone could use a cozy spot like this to chill out in from time to time. Image: HighStreetMarket

A new favorite..

Let's just talk about how amazing LuLu Dk's newest fabric is..I could burst from excitement. I've been keeping my eyes open for a graphic fabric. I want to cover a ball foot camel back sofa for my dining room in a crazy print. This is definitely a contender. {I'm thinking yellow or turquoise to go with my future green chairs {see last week's post below} - the yellow would throw the room off - which i like to do} LuLu DK - Sunburst imagine the possibilities...........................image: Nancy Fishel son {oh and LuLu, I'm flattered I'm on your blog list!}

It's all in the details..

because it REALLY is! images: This is Glamorous , Pink Wallpaper , La Vie Photography , David Jimenez , Pink Wallpaper, Work Architecture , My Little Happy Place , ?

Happy Mother's Day!

Is this not the cutest shot? I've got to purchase this top and bloomers for Emerson! { Rikshaw Design } - I also adore their bedding. Happy Mother's Day to all Mommie's, your wonderful Moms' and to those who are cherishing the memory of their amazing Mothers'! Enjoy your weekend! I just had to share Jonathan Adler's idea on how to deconstruct your basic arrangement..spread it out among various vases..wow! now doesn't that look sooo much better? While I'm on the topic of Jonathan Alder , I have to share this adorable pillow. I don't think I can resist it! {available at the end of the month}

Welcome Home

On sunny, spring days I take my nesting and design craziness outdoors. Conceptually your entrance should relate to the rest of your home, but more importantly it should make you happy. My entrance needs an overall, the house is yellow with a black door. I think when I have it painted, {hopefully in the near future} I'll change that. Also, consider the other entrance elements, ex. the lighting, plants etc. Here are some inspiring homes..What style speaks to you? Found it!

The other day, I took a trip to Zimman's {an amazing discount fabric store near my home}in Lynn...I was in search of the "parrot" green fabric for my next "home project" - my dining chairs.{which I have yet to purchase} Read my original post here . I was thrilled when I scored the perfect green fabric..discount stores are often hit or miss! Love this look and am going to purchase white Louis IXV chairs. I also brought home a sample of the perfect coral pink; my plan is to design an oversized, skirted ottoman for my living room similar to the one pictured below. { by Nate Berkus }
