The weather is going to be much like you see in these gorgeous photos..I don't post wedding shots much {I've been married for 6+ years} but I remember how exciting it was to plan my wedding..{I still love looking at couple's ideas and inspirations} These photographs by Susan Stripling are truly inspirational on many levels.. This entire look is so layered - it's striking isn't it? {you could base a room design on this palette and these textures alone} I have to pack so much "stuff" when I travel with my little ones..I could always use an extra bag..{i love to have an array of bags}..this one from Manu leather would suit me just fine.. Even though I'm supposed to be focusing on my new little girl's room + , I've been struck by vintage elements in little boy's rooms..go figure. The past 11 weeks have been a bit insane with a two year old and a new born....I'll be sure to post photos of Emerson's room when it's done! {in about four months - I'm actually hoping to finish it sooner but I'm being realistic} {and if you missed my post on "if it's a boy" room see it here ... please feel free to borrow my ideas, because I'm stopping at two!} I thought this tile detail was great! { Melisssa Warner's home, of Massucco , Warner, Miller in this month's H.B .} I find most of my readers are pretty design savvy, so you may have seen these photos in your own publications..but I find I can continually absorb the same amazing rooms again and again! Here are some photos of recent favorites! I'm drawn and often design classically modern spaces, rooms that draw inspiration from the past but incorporate a blend of updated older pieces with a unexpected modern twist speak to me and inform my own work. Lonny Magazine is a breath of fresh air..hopefully they'll come out with a paper version at some point. They are taking contributions on their site , I'm going to donate to this worth while read! I hid away in my office for a while this afternoon, it's nice to actually do some design work again. I also took a few minutes to do some blog hopping. Courtney from Style Court chronicles a wonderful book {My Mother's Clothes} and exhibition by photographer Jeannette Montgomery Barron. My Mother's Clothes is a narrative and photographic look into the life and closet of Jeannette's mother, Eleanor "Ellie" Montgomery. Montgomery's beautiful images benefit and are available through SCAD , the book is available here . I'm adding this one to both my library and the "book of the month" list.
