I will not be sorry to say good bye to the month that would never end! The Fat Jewish posted this today - umm, yes agreed!! This year's get away is going to be a week doing the Disney thing with the kids (not complaining, I swear) but next year?? Happy Friyay! Any big plans for the weekend? I had every intention of heading to VT this weekend to go skiing but I've had such a busy week. I just can't escape today. With that said, I heard conditions aren't great on the mountains, I may wait until they get more snow! Here's what's on my radar - besides a slew of exciting new projects. 1. White lace shirts have such a feminine look. I recently purchased this one here . I plan to bring it on our Disney trip with the kids this Spring. 2. I am in love with this bag . I have the XL size and I had my initials monogrammed on it in hot pink. It is the perfect casual weekend bag   and holds a ton. (even my pillow 👶) I may need the medium size.  3. + 4. I am most definitely into the strong mind, strong body, strong woman concept! I do not love to ski in the frigid cold but on a gorgeous day, I find it refreshing to be outdoors away from technology - I enjoy the views and exercise! Just look at  Hannah Teter , the professi

We are in the thick of it here in Boston - snow, sleet, rain, mud, ice - you name it, it happens. I am not going to lie. I have mudroom envy. I think in my next house (or if I add onto this one) a mudroom is tops on the list. Finding a spot for all of the shoes, coats, and BACKPACKS most of the year is tricky. I have hooks and a closet but they just aren't cutting it. Here are some of my recent favorites spotted. They aren't all even large but definitely serve a purpose.  THIS THIS!! Hello, hello! I hope you had a fabulous week. Things are good here, a little busy but great! Be sure to follow us on Instagram for updates on current Shelter projects and happenings. I'm hustling to get my work done this am. Later this afternoon I'm hosting twelve girls at my home for a birthday party for Emerson. It'll be fun, hectic but fun . I enjoy a good party and obviously the decorations. S he is all about "a dance party" this year. (that's my girl).  Onto my post.....Winter can get old and truthfully when working at the office I am guilty of dressing for comfort and warmth. When I venture out to meetings and appointments I do however adore a sharp outfit. Lately, I am all about camel (or chambray) and wide leg winter white pants. This combo is sophisticated but approachable - it's perfect for work or  better yet afternoon drinks with the girls. The white pants I shared are darling!  Cheers to a fantabulous weekend! Eek, I found a goodie to kick off the Cottage Love series for 2018! Well, here we are in the midst of the suckiest coldest time of year in New England. I can either embrace it with a cozy down vibe in my home and for my wardrobe or I could complain. I am guilty of a little bit of bitching, especially when I come out to an ice covered walkway, car and driveway in the early am - (which happened this am). Designer Jennifer Schoenberger's Atlanta home is full of warm moments with an edge. I am drawn to her sultry use of fabrics and the rich, neutral color palette. This weekend went by surprisingly fast. We have a three day weekend here in Ma. I'm looking forward to organizing my house/closet and hanging out with the kids. All around it was a great week. I feel very lucky to have a number of interesting projects at the moment! Here's a peek at what I'm loving this week. 1. I am constantly inspired by nature. I love the beautiful tones of these flamingos. 2. Creating something from nothing is a wonderful thing. With some creative planning, awkward spaces such as attics can be transformed into beautiful, functional rooms. 3. We are taking the kiddos to Disney in March. I think I am as excited as they are to head someplace warm this winter season. This company carries wonderful weekend bags .    4. The words and philosophies of Martin Luther King resonate with me now more than ever. He was a peacemaker and stood up for justice, freedom and civil rights for all. We all have certain designers that speak to us for one reason or another. I'm actually drawn to an array of styles and looks - from modern to classic. And it's definitely in my wheelhouse to create both or a seamless blend of the two for my clients. I do however, find that interiors and architecture that have a sense of history and meaning, soar. Bailey does just that with her business, the prints and designs have a classic foundation but feel fresh, new and never stuffy. I will also never tire of a good monogram. I recently selected one of the sheet prints as the starting point for a little Southern girl's bedroom. I always love to see what she has up her sleeve. Biscuit Home added a much needed bedding source to the market and I continually visit her site for design pieces that include bedding, accessories and furniture. I love to use color on my projects, so her love of color is much appreciated too. I thoroughly enjoyed, House of Harper's interview  with her . Bail

A good morning it is indeed. It seems lately, many things are pointing in the direction of hope. I love starting my week and year off on a positive note.  If you have not had a moment to watch Oprah's Cecil B. DeMille award acceptance speech, please do. It made my morning , scratch that, week!
