I've been thoroughly enjoying this long summer {heat and all}. In Boston June is usually an extension of a chilly Spring, so I actually feel like I'll be ready for Fall this year... and of course the Autumn fashion! I'm drawn to "layered, classic styles with an edge". I'm loving the mix of classic and edgy in Tory Burch's Pre-Fall + Fall line..If you ask me, I'd say invest in camel, cream, warms reds, a bit of metallic gold, some textured pieces and a pair of studded clogs for the Fall season. {I'm guessing you already own black + maybe a fur (or faux fur) piece from last year?} + Fall do you have a favorite? Here are some random shots from my trip..I've come to the conclusion, I need a new camera desperately, a nice 35 mm digital would work just fine! {on the wish list} AT THE BEACH We started off the weekend on Nobadeer Beach..it's a bit close to the airport but other then that, it's perfect! The best part is driving on with the over sand vehicle permit, no parking or schlepping your kids, chairs, food and "stuff" to this beach! {thanks Liz! - lucky for me my good friend lives on Nantucket}. The surf was great that day..we had fun watching the surfers do their thing.. Nobadeer Beach My little surfer! Ahh, I just returned from a long {but too short} weekend in Nantucket! It is one of my favorite places to visit! The picturesque town, homes, gardens and beaches are perfect, {seriously flawless}. I'll be posting a few of my snapshots tomorrow {I didn't have time this morning}..so I'll leave you with a "mood-board" collage today! My wish is to own a small cottage there one day! so many people own vintage jeeps and land cruisers on the island - i love the one pictured above! Aren't these flowers gorgeous? {inspiring wedding colors} I'm drawn to certain colors at different times..who knows why? When I was pregnant it was pink {i guess that's not hard to figure out}. I'm most likely subliminally seduced with fashion and shelter magazines..this month's obsession is with lavender + lilac..{I'm guessing I'm craving cooler colors because of the crazy heat} not necessarily by entire rooms swathed by these colors but small touches! {find a selection of Kerry's bedding here } I'm currently smitten with textile designer Kerry Cassill's line of fabric, bedding and clothing. Her influence stems from her travels around the globe, but mainly from Indian Prints she discovered in Parisian Markets. She launches a new collection each season, I'm looking forward to seeing what's in store for the Fall of 2010. She also has a shop in Laguna Beach named LaLa.
